Handyman in Mountain's Edge, Las Vegas
Mountain's Edge is a master-planned community in the southwest Las Vegas valley. It sits in unincorporated Clark County, in the Enterprise area, and homes there use a Las Vegas mailing address. Most of it is newer production housing, which shapes the kind of work owners call about.
Dave O's Fix-It Pros is a family-owned, insured, owner-operated handyman service based in Henderson. In Mountain's Edge we mostly upgrade what the builder installed, fix what daily life wears out, and work through repair lists in a single visit.
A Las Vegas Address in Clark County
The mailing address says Las Vegas, but Mountain's Edge is not inside the City of Las Vegas. It is part of unincorporated Clark County, in the area the county calls Enterprise, which also takes in Southern Highlands and other southwest neighborhoods. Our Enterprise page covers that wider area.
For a faucet or a ceiling fan, none of that matters. It matters when part of a project needs a building permit, because permits here go through Clark County. We keep our work at the repair and fixture level, so permit work is not ours, but it helps to know which office a contractor will be dealing with.
What Mountain's Edge Owners Call About
Neighborhoods here were built by several production builders, so floor plans repeat and so do the problems. These are the calls we expect from a newer southwest valley home:
Builder-grade fixtures
Production builders pick fixtures for the whole tract, not for you. Flat-panel ceiling lights, basic faucets, and entry-level fans are the first things owners want gone, and swapping them on existing boxes and supply lines is handyman work.
Garage and storage
Garages here tend to fill up fast. Wall shelving, overhead racks, and a workbench turn the garage back into a place for a car and the tools.
Two-story wear points
Many homes are two-story. Stair handrails work loose, upstairs doors start to rub, and the drywall corners on the stairway take a beating from moving day and laundry baskets.
Outdoor wear and tear
The patio slider, the side gate, and the backyard light get used every day and take the full desert sun. Sliders that drag, gates that sag, and sun-faded exterior fixtures are common calls.
On top of that, the desert does its usual work. Summer heat splits the caulk around tubs and sinks, dust wears down patio door rollers, and interior walls carry sprayed texture, so drywall patches need texture matching to disappear. None of it is urgent on its own. Bundled into one visit, it gets done for less per item.

Honest Scope
We are a handyman, not a licensed contractor, plumber, or electrician. Swapping a fixture on an existing box or supply line is ours. Adding a new circuit, moving a pipe, or changing a wall goes to a licensed trade. Our guide to handyman vs. contractor work in Nevada explains where the line sits.
Mountain's Edge Handyman FAQ
Is Mountain's Edge part of the City of Las Vegas?
No. Mountain's Edge is a master-planned community in unincorporated Clark County, in the Enterprise area of the southwest valley. Homes there use a Las Vegas mailing address, but county services and permits run through Clark County rather than the City of Las Vegas.
How soon can you get to Mountain's Edge?
It is across the valley from our Henderson base, so we group southwest valley jobs on the same days where we can. Timing depends on the current job load, traffic, and weather. Call or text and we will tell you the soonest realistic time.
Can you swap out all the builder-grade fixtures at once?
Yes, and doing it in one visit is the most cost-effective way. Send a list of the lights, fans, faucets, and hardware you want replaced, and we will price the whole list before any work starts. You pick the fixtures, or we can tell you what holds up in this climate.
Do I need HOA approval for the work?
Interior work usually does not. Mountain's Edge has a master association, and many neighborhoods inside it have their own rules as well. Anything visible from outside, like exterior light fixtures, gates, or front doors, may need approval first. Get the approval and we will match what was approved.
What does a handyman cost here?
The same as anywhere else we work. Our hourly rate is $75-$95 for general repairs with a 2-hour minimum, and we flat-rate common jobs like drywall patches and TV mounts. See our pricing page for the full list. Quotes are free and itemized before work starts.
What do you not do?
We are an insured, family-owned handyman service, not a licensed contractor, plumber, or electrician. No new circuits, panel work, or EV chargers, no moving pipes, no structural changes. Anything that needs a Clark County building permit goes to a licensed trade, and we will tell you on the first call.
