What Handyman Jobs Cost
These are the rates Dave O's Fix-It Pros publishes for handyman work in Henderson and the Las Vegas valley, collected in one place: an hourly rate, half-day and full-day rates, and flat rates for four common jobs.
Every job is different, so these are ranges, not quotes. Quotes are free and itemized before work starts, and you know the number before we pick up a tool.
Hourly, Half-Day, and Full-Day Rates
Most general repairs are billed by time. These rates cover the day-to-day work on our general home repairs page: drywall, doors, trim, caulking, shelving, picture hanging, and the rest of a typical honey-do list.
For general repairs, with a 2-hour minimum.
Good for a honey-do list of small items in one visit.
For long lists, rental turnovers, and inspection punch lists.
A half-day or full-day visit is the usual way to knock out a long list. Many Henderson homeowners book one to get 10 to 20 small items done at once.
Flat Rates for Common Jobs
Four jobs come up often enough that we flat-rate them. Each range below is our own published rate, and each job has its own service page with the details.
Drywall patches
$150-$300Where a job lands depends on the size of the hole, whether it is on a wall or a ceiling, and how much texture has to be blended. Texture matching to orange peel or knockdown is part of the job.
Drywall repair in HendersonInterior door install
$200-$350Repairs and adjustments are usually less than an install. Bundling several doors, or doors plus other small repairs, into one visit lowers the cost per item.
Door repair in HendersonTV mount
$125-$200Very large TVs, full-motion arms, masonry or stone walls, and extra items like a soundbar or shelf can move the price. Mounting two or three TVs in one visit costs less than booking them separately.
TV mounting in HendersonFence repair
$200-$500Depends on how many boards, pickets, or rails need replacing, whether a post is involved, and the cost of matching materials. Gate hinge and latch fixes are often a small add-on when we are already there.
Fence and gate repair in HendersonWhat Moves the Price
A range is a range because no two jobs are the same. The things that push a job up or down within its range are mostly practical: how big the repair is, where it is (a ceiling patch is more work than a wall patch), how much finish work it needs to blend in, and what materials it takes to match what you already have.
The biggest lever you control is bundling. Several small jobs in one visit lower the cost per job, and the 2-hour minimum goes much further across a whole list than on a single item. If you have a drywall patch, a sticking door, and a TV to mount, booking them together costs less than three separate calls.
The easiest way to get a firm number is to text a photo of each item to (925) 752-2733 or send your list through the contact form. Quotes are free and itemized before work starts.
Jobs We Quote One at a Time
These services do not have a published flat rate, because parts, fixtures, and scope vary too much from one home to the next. We give you a price before we start.
Honest Scope
These rates are for handyman work. We are not a licensed contractor, plumber, or electrician, so permit work, new circuits, panel work, and moving pipes are not on this page at any price. If your job needs a licensed trade, we will tell you on the first call. Our guide to handyman vs. contractor work in Nevada explains where the line sits.

Which jobs have a flat rate?
We flat-rate four common jobs: drywall patches $150-$300, interior door install $200-$350, TV mount $125-$200, and fence repair $200-$500. Where a job lands in its range depends on its size and details, and we give you a price before we start.
Are estimates free?
Yes. Quotes are free and itemized before work starts, and estimates for larger projects are free. Text a photo of each item and we will price the list before any work starts.
How do I keep the cost down?
Bundle. Several small jobs in one visit lower the cost per job. A half-day or full-day visit is often the best value for a long honey-do list.
Why are the blog cost guides different from these numbers?
